    Facilitation & Curation

    Leading and producing small community trainings of only 5 people up to city-wide workshops of over 150 people, Alissa has vast experience creating experiences that support interaction for many purposes.

    Skill building

    Alissa has created curricula related to tax paperwork, creative expression, and hands-on workshops for home repair, including historic restoration. She believes everyone can learn new skills if given the tools and care.

    Neighborhoods

    Alissa has worked deeply in Detroit for 10+ years, and in 12+ cities across the USA to grow the capacity of communities to improve their own neighborhoods, especially focusing on community-led housing interventions.

Alissa is the founder of a community space in Hamtramck, Detroit MI, and is the winner of the prestigious 2022 GMF Marshall Memorial Fellowship.
